Holy Week Activities at Greenvine
Palm Sunday
Maundy Thursday
Good Friday
Holy week at Greenvine began on Palm Sunday with a dramatic reading of the gospel by several members of the congregation with background music provided by our organist, Karen Sloan.
During the Maundy Thursday service, Pastor jody Winston provided us with a moving message about serving, followed by visitation to several areas of the church to reflect on how Jesus serves and how we should serve, for foot or hand washing, being anointed and prayed over, and of reflection
On Good Friday, youth lead a service involving sacred music, Biblical readings and responsive reading. Congregants left the church in relative darkness and silence to reflect on Christ’s death.
Many thanks to all the people who helped plan, implement, and take part in Lenten, Holy Week, and Easter services/activities.
You are the heart of the church and your service is greatly appreciated.

Blessing Box
A Blessing Box has been placed outside the White Horse Tavern in Burton. The purpose of the box is to provide anyone in need with food. The food might provide some relief so that utilities bills or rent can be paid! Summer is a particular hard time for kids since many rely on daily meals provided through the schools. Consider donating easy to open items for children, dried goods, or canned goods, or easy to prepare items that can survive the summer heat for the Blessing Box.
These items can be placed in the narthex of the church or directly in the Blessing Box.
Christ in Our Home
Daily devotions are available in the church’s narthex.
